If you’re a fan of thriller books, you’ve probably heard of Riley Sager. He’s a popular New York Times bestselling author, and has written some of my favorite thriller books. Here are all of his books in order of release date, including his newest upcoming 2024 book release – Middle of the Night!

Who is Riley Sager?

Riley Sager, the pen name of Todd Ritter, is an American author of modern thriller books. He is a New York Times bestselling author, and has written seven novels so far.

His first novel, Final Girls, won the International Thriller Writers Award for Best Hardcover Novel. His books have also been nominated for Goodreads Choice Awards in the Mystery/Thriller and Horror categories.

Nope! All of Riley Sager’s books are standalone novels, so you can read them in any order.

Have any of Riley Sager’s books been made into movies or TV adaptations?

Multiple Riley Sager books – including Final Girls, The Last Time I Lied, and Home Before Dark – have been optioned for film, but none have been released yet. (Most are currently in development.)

Netflix recently optioned the rights to The House Across the Lake, to be directed by Paul Feig.

As a big Riley Sager fan, I hope you get the chance to read some (or all) of his books! My favorite so far has been Home Before Dark. 🙂
