Readathons are a perfect way to read more books & meet your reading goals! Here's how to plan a cozy weekend read-a-thon at home.

WHAT IS A READATHON?

• Anywhere from 2 hours to an entire weekend

• Set aside a chunk of time for uninterrupted reading

• All you need is a comfy chair, reading snacks or drinks, and a pile of books!

STEP 1:

DETERMINE YOUR READATHON PLAN

How many hours will it last? Do you have a goal for amount of pages read? Will you track your reading?

STEP 2:

PICK OUT YOUR BOOKS

Having your to-read pile picked out ahead of time helps! I like to choose a mix of different genres.

STEP 3:

PREPARE READING SNACKS & DRINKS

Be sure to have some snacks handy to keep you energized, and your favorite beverage to keep you hydrated!

STEP 4:

FIND A QUIET SPOT & GET COZY

Change into comfy clothes and find a cozy, quiet spot in your house (like your favorite reading chair).

STEP 5:

GET ReADING

Lastly, settle in and start reading! Don’t forget to schedule in a few breaks to stretch and give your eyes a rest.
